Parke & Ronen Spring '18
This week, some of our favorite menswear designers are showcasing their spring '18 collections for New York Fashion Week: Men's. For the often preppy and ever so homo-centric label Parke & Ronen, it's a particularly important show. Husbands and design partners, Parke Lutter and Ronen Jehezkel, celebrated 20 years of their New York brand.
Their spring '18 collection took inspiration from John Denver's "Rocky Mountain High" and the lyric, "serenity of a clear blue mountain lake," which gave a soft vibe as models walked the runway. Laced with nostalgia and a rose-colored view of Americana, pieces from previous years were incorporated into the show, featuring a new collection of sexy and sweet summer pieces, perfect for a promiscuous pool party or a stylish beach wedding.
As the brand prepared to showcase the culmination of their two-decade history, we joined them backstage where models strutted around in sandals and special 20th anniversary Parke & Ronen briefs. The designers welcomed Andrew Rannells, Tommy Dorfman, Matthew Risch, Kyle Dean Massey, Taylor Frey, Lina Bradford and Billy Porter to celebrate the launch of the latest collection.
