Vogue Paints Jennifer Lawrence For its September Cover
The mother! star sat for John Currin.
Vogue has announced its September cover star: Jennifer Lawrence. And in celebration of their biggest issue of the year, the magazine has released four separate covers with portraits of the actress by a quartet of different artists: Annie Leibovitz, Inez and Vinoodh, Bruce Weber, and a painting by John Currin.
She said the experience of sitting for Currin was "Pretty unbelievable" in the accompanying Vogue cover story. "He took photos, and posed me like one of those French girls. I think Pippi (her dog) might actually be in some of them."
