Max Emerson: Giving It To Us in a Fall Fashion Exclusive

It's no secret that Max Emerson knows how to take the perfect picture. Have you seen his IG? Well, he's also an expert at wearing (and not wearing!) the latest clothing must-haves. Photographer Henry Wu set out to shoot Emerson in a slew of fall and winter items, including gorgeous knits, trousers, and of course underwear.

This shoot showcases a variety of undergarments. Have to ask--in your regular life, boxers, briefs, or boxer briefs?

Crazy, I was just thinking to myself "Nobody has asked me this question in almost a week, what's going on?!" The answer is simple: anything but boxers, if anything at all. Boxers are too bunchy.

If you could steal one item you wore from this shoot, what would it be?

Definitely the yellow hoodie from the elevator shot. Close second is Marni sweater.

Walk us through your grooming routine, how do you get your hair, chest hair, etc. to look spot on and perfect always?

Water and sleep. It takes a room full of professionals to make me look Out-editorial cute. Manscaping happens roughly three times per year. Kiehl's keeps me drowning in skincare products, so that doesn't hurt. For hair I'm super loyal to Thom Priano and his line of products R+co. The biggest obstacle I face with photos is that my body prefers an ambient temperature of about 60 degrees and I usually sweat straight from my ultra shiny face... so the makeup assistant usually hates me.

Finally, what's the one item every man needs in his closet?

A professional grade clothing steamer.
