The fashion behemoth finally hit the Big Apple, with an arsenal of men's exclusives.
For decades, style-conscious men have flocked to Nordstrom. From flashy Balmain and Gucci collections to that elusive pair of perfect jeans, the department store has served shoppers in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada with everything they need for their closets and grooming routines. Yet shockingly, the full Nordstrom experience has never been available in Manhattan -- where residents are used to having whatever shiny new thing they want at their fingertips. Fortunately, the city's sartorial Dark Age ends today, because the retailer finally opened its New York doors with a 47,000-square-foot outpost at 235 West 57th Street.

The occasion not only marks the unveiling of the first full-line N.Y.C. location of the chain, which was founded in Seattle in 1901, but also Nordstrom's first-ever standalone store for men. Besides three floors of designer offerings across all categories -- from made-to-measure suiting to must-have tech toys -- shoppers can expect limited-edition product drops and specialty services such as personal stylists, on-site alterations and tailoring, same-day delivery, and a clubhouse bar.
Designed by James Carpenter, who created the Hearst Tower's waterfall entrance and the steel-screen facade of 7 World Trade, the front of the outpost will be made entirely of glass to let in natural light and give the store an open-air feel. A high-concept backdrop for exclusive high-end fashion -- would a New Yorker have it any other way?
AG Jeans
The denim brand has designed a limited run of 212 styles of a new jean, paying homage to the city's most popular area code. New Yorkers (and rabid tourists) should feel right at home in them. $212
Yeezy Boost 700 Wave Runner
In collaboration with Stadium Goods, the new outpost will stock a curated assortment of hyped-up, hard-to-find sneakers. These street-style favorites embrace the chunky "dad" shoe trend with funky colors and the Kanye name. Starting from $1,100
Ted Baker Hair Mud
Nordstrom welcomes Ted Baker stateside with the U.S. debut of the British brand's grooming line. Combining cumin seed extract and olive fruit oil, this mud softens hair, provides a firm hold, and leaves an unfussy matte finish. $24
Timberland for Nordstrom
Celebrating the 45th anniversary of legendary New York City punk club CBGB, Timberland has crafted these exclusive boots for the store. Studded and featuring super-fine leather detail, they're ready to rock--just mosh carefully. $220
