Jeffrey Fashion Cares Brought a Sartorial Twist to AIDS Activism
The Jeffrey Fashion Cares 15th annual charity event used fashion to raise funds for the Elton John AIDS Foundation, Hetrick-Martin Institute, and Lambda Legal. Staff Sergeant Catherine Schmid, a 12-year U.S. Army veteran and a plaintiff in the lawsuit challenging the trans military ban, was honored at the event as well. The event was hosted by Judith Light, Tony- and Emmy- Award Winning actress and human rights activist, known and loved for her roles in Transparentand The Assassination of Gianni Versace: An American Crime Story.
