There is no way humanly possible to overstate how much of a moment Lil Nax X is having right now. He has made history, multiple times over, and stood in his truth along the way. It's been quite a beautiful spectacle to watch, and with his win at the American Music Awards on Sunday night, it's probably not ending any time soon.

The "Old Town Road" singer turned up at the event in an all green custom suit by recent CFDA/ Vogue Fashion Fund winner and Out100 honoree Christopher John Rogers. The suit is ... a look! And we have to stan.

The jacket seems to take nods from bolero jackets, featuring a pretty strong, molded shoulder, while also being cropped at the midsection. He paired that suit with a green cheetah print bodysuit and a set of earring -- utilizing this season's trend of wearing one single dangling earring with a stud in the other ear. And while all of that was great, he pumped the look up with another accessory.

On his feet, Nas X wore a pair of platform heels, washed in the same lime green that his suit was done in. The shoes were a custom colorway from the extremey popular Shaun Ross for United Nude collaboration -- having been worn by Nas X, Sam Smith, Billy Porter and more, the design was created in partnership with Roman Sipe. And, they were the perfect addition to the night's look, and to wear to pick up the artist's first AMA.

"Finally!" Nas said onstage after being announced as the winner for the Favorite Song - Rap/Hip-Hop category. "I don't want to get like to deep but whether you're 15, 30, 55 or whatever and you feel like your moment has passed, just know that it's waiting for you!" The performer seemed to become a little emotional onstage, paused, and then made his last thank yous.

Backstage, he told Billboard that 2020 will be filled with "amazing surprises." He went on to acknowledge that while his sexuality has not impacted his standing in music, it might be different were he not to have a hit under his belt.

"It's been pretty good so far, luckily," he said. "I can't say everything is cool because I'm in my place right now. If I was an upcoming artist who didn't have what I have, I don't know if it would be the same love, but I'm happy."
