She’s “auditioning” but we all know she deserves.
Dominique Jackson is here to secure the bag.
That's the impetus for Valentino's latest video that features none other than the Pose actress. "Oh darrrling," she says in the clip, shot by Out cover photographer Luke Gilford, and done in collaboration with Janet Mock. "I'd do anything for the bag. Isn't it fun." For the segment, she's playing a character named Devoray. Whether she snags the job yet, we don't know but we are living all the same.
"Omg when you make a plan dreams become reality," Jackson wrote on to Instagram when she posted the clip which she appears in alone in the format of a screen test. Alongside it, she's uploaded a series of images, all shot by Gilford, as she models the label's Valentino Garavani Sling bag. Apparently, she insisted on posing with the bag, giving them a little taste of what might happen on set. We stan a proactive woman!
Others to complete "auditions" include Rowan Blanchard. The pair, and whomever else was involved, are auditioning for the new campaign for the bag, in a system presided over by Valetino face Janet Mock herself. It's all set in a studio, seemingly looking into the clouds of New York City.
"We need beauty, class, brains and personality and we need it now," the brand wrote in a post announcing the series. Well, we all know that Miss Jackson -- ehm, Devoray -- has all of that, so you let us know when she's been booked for the job!
