What a way to start the season.Â
We're back back back again! If you were missing any of the red carpet fashion that Hollywood gives us, the 2020 race has officially started. And what better way than hopping right in with a Billy Porter look.
Since appearing on Pose, Billy Porter has shot to the forefront when it comes to celebrity style conversations. He has defied the industries typical norms surrounding what a man "should" and "should not" wear, and gone with his gut. And it's turned into quite an awe-inspiring set of red carpet tours. To start his latest, he put on a white custom suit which came replete with a long ass feathered white train.
The suit itself was created by Alex Vinash, who has worked with Porter before. The train zips off in fact and the full look took three months to create according to Ryan Seacrest. Porter admitted that they began to work on the look prior to even being nominated. And if you're going to go for it, why not do it big?
Porter paired the suit with a small box shaped handbag, Tiffany & Co necklace and rings, as well as Jimmy Choo heeled shoes. He also brought a helper to tend to the train. He's nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Drama for his role in Pose.
Maybe Vinash will make up something fancy and feathery for Porter's role as the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella.
