Lil Nas X keeps being a groundbreaker in both music and fashion!
The rapper recently collaborated with iconic brand Coach in their brand-new "Courage to Be Real" campaign where he's seen wearing fabulous outfits. The campaign's short film (which was directed by Petra Collins) is set to his latest single, "STAR WALKIN.'" During an interview with People, Nas X also talked about taking chances when it comes to his costumes on the road.
He explained:
"I was really nervous about going out on stage in front of my family and everybody in my cute, little Coach skirt. But as soon as I walked out, I felt like I was setting my younger self free. Afterwards, my family - a lot of whom used to believe in everything opposite to what's up on that stage - told me they were really proud. I feel like I'm changing some minds."
Regarding his campaign with Coach, Nas X remarked:
"My whole career has been about breaking down doors, and this campaign represents everything I've overcome so far. It's about walking into new chapters of life, new experiences and new versions of myself, and it's rooted in authenticity and self-expression - two things I really care about. It was really fun collaborating with Stuart and Petra to bring this to life."
The musician is currently on his first-ever national tour, titled Long Live Montero Tour. A total of 29 shows have been scheduled for this tour - which started in Detroit on September 6 and is set to end in Sydney, Australia on January 4, 2023.
When it comes to looks and self-expression, we can always count on Nas X to deliver! For more info on Coach and the Courage to Be Real campaign, visit the official website here.
