Congratulations to Alex Consani!

Alex Consani is having her moment!

The 21-year-old trans model from the Bay Area is making history as the first trans woman to be nominated for Model of the Year at the British Fashion Council's annual Fashion Awards.

Consani has walked nearly 20 shows this season, including for labels Mugler, Ferragamo, Marc Jacobs, Helmut Lang, Thom Browne, and more. She began her modeling career at the young age of 12, making international headlines.

Earlier this year, she was one of the many featured "Hot Internet Girls" along with Emma Chamberlain, Julia Fox, Hari Nef, and Rachel Sennott in Charli xcx's music video for "360."

She's also extremely popular on TikTok, where she is known for posting humorous videos that easily rack up millions of views.

Now, she's up for one of the biggest modeling awards in the world.

The Model of the Year Award "recognises the global impact of a model who over the last 12 months has dominated the industry" and has "an influence that transcends the catwalk" as someone who "has made an outstanding contribution to the industry, garnering numerous editorial and advertising campaigns throughout the year."

The other models up for Model of the Year include Alva Claire, Amelia Gray, Anok Yai, Liu Wen, and Mona Tougaard. Paloma Elsesser won last year.

According to its website, the Fashion Awards "amplify leaders of change, celebrate excellence and support the next generation of creative talent."

The awards are also a fundraiser for the BFC Foundation, which "supports the future growth and success of the British fashion industry by focusing on education, grant-giving, and business mentoring."

The Fashion Awards 2024 Presented by Pandora will take place Monday, December 2 at the Royal Albert Hall. Good luck to Consani!
