Imagine looking so good that you literally can't avoid going viral if a picture of you is taken… even if you're seen right next to huge celebrities!
Over the weekend, model Eugenio Casnighi shared a video claiming that he was fired from working at the Met Gala after pictures and videos of him at the 2023 edition went viral. He worked for the event as a "greeter," which is like a "point person" that helps celebrities navigate through the red carpet and event. Specifically, Casnighi went viral in a picture standing next to Kylie Jenner and a video where he's seen behind Blackpink star Jennie.
The model explained in a TikTok video:
"So I've never talked about this because I was under an NDA. It's funny enough they fired me so I can say whatever I want now. They fired me because I went viral last year. So basically they said, 'You made it about yourself. So we can't have you work there anymore.'"
He added, "They literally told me, 'We picked you because we liked you more than other people to be with this celebrity.' But when people took pictures of the actual celebrity... and I was next to her, of course I ended up in the picture. And they blamed me."
Casnighi was born in Italy, but currently lives in New York City and is signed to Q Models. As reported by the Daily Mail, Casnighi is 26 years old. He is 6'1" in height, measures 30" at the waist, and has a shoe size of 10.5 according to his modeling portfolio. He also has brown hair and brown eyes. As of this writing, Casnighi has over 200,000 followers on Instagram, 4.4 million likes on TikTok.
