V Magazine's little brother pub--VMAN--is a quarterly tome dedicated to culture, fashion, and other manly things. Each issue is built around a central theme and their latest edition focuses on decades. Using fashion to evoke different periods of time, the glossy uses the most recent fashion collections to re-create trends from the turn-of-the-centry to the current state of sartorial affairs--and even offers a glimpse of the future.
As part of the time-traveling endeavour, Matthew Scrivens and Tom Jarrold tackled the 1900, with a focus on the beginnings of the moving picture. Using Eadweard Muybridge's interest in Olympian athleticism, the human physique, and the beginnings of motion picture, Scrivens and Jarrold's video is not only a dynamic throwback to days of yore, it also features a lot of glistening skin. Check it out below.
