The designer's coveted spring wares have gone missing.
A funny fact about the life of a fashion editor: not only do they spend an entire month attending fashion shows for days on end to see what designers are proposing people wear next season, shortly thereafter they are then sent images of those same shows as a reminder and reference tool. As if that weren't enough, PR companies then schedule appointments where editors are, yet again, asked to gawk and stare at the clothing--this time petting it like a small dog while sharing a bit of the latest gossip. But for European editors anxious to see Marc Jacobs's spring 2012 collection might be a tad disappointed. Apparently everything--tops, skirts, dresses, headbands, boots, socks, what have you--has gone missing on their pilgrimage overseas from New York to Paris. The Telegraph is reporting that Jacobs's PR team sent out an email canceling the press appointments at the last minute seeing as the clothing's actual whereabouts are currently unknown. We've got a sneaking suspicion that a fashion-crazed customs agent already has her spring wardrobe all planned out.
