This was the year of the wedding: from Royal to same-sex to Kardashian to Kate Moss on September's Vogue, it was difficult to find a moment that wasn't infused with some sort of matrimonial undercurrent (we're not Twilight fans, but we think that ther's some sort of marriage peg there, too, right?) Beyonce and Jay-Z, too, were married of late, but unlike the others--and keeping in step with the rest of their relationship--the details were scarce--making them all the more interesting. Because of the secretive nature of the vows, no on has yet seen Knowles's gown--until now.
According to our sister site Popnography, brief glimpses of the dress are shown in part of the video for "I Was Here," from the upcoming DVD Live At Roseland, a recording of one of Be-be's concerts here in Manhattan. While the images are limited, it looks traditional, and lovely--much more Beyonce than Sasha Fierce (remember her?) While her stage persona is often fierce in the most primal of ways, this seems to jive more with her demure personality. We just did a quick scour of the Internet, and can't find a designer...dear readers, does anyone know who made the dress? We'll send a cookie to whomever can tell us.
UPDATE: According to The Cut, the dress was designed by Tina Knowles, Beyonce's mother.
