Last night, just shy of the stroke of midnight (at 11:59pm, to be precise), pop-singer and fashion plate Lady Gaga finally unveiled her much-hyped collaboration with Barneys New York, named 'Gaga's Workshop.' Sporting a couture Chanel gown that made her look somewhat like a wedding cake topper, Gaga--with Out100 honoree Nicola Formichetti in tow--cut a large ribbon strung across the shop's entrance, signaling that the doors were open to her shop-within-a-shop. The store features a plethora of off-kilter gifts for monsters to indulge in, including chocolates in the shape of her most memorable outfits, punk-princess jewelry, stiletto stockings, and claw-like press-on nails to name a few. The store, which fills the entire 5th floor of the store's Madison Avenue flagship, is decorated in trippy Gaga art installations, and demented yuletide decor. The legendary store windows are also Gaga-themed this year.
But Gaga's no scrooge. In the midst of all this wicked holiday merrymaking, it should be noted that 25% of shop's sales will go to the Born This Way Foundation, the singer's anti-bullying institution.
