Since Xcel Brand Inc. bought out Isaac Mizrahi's label in September, there's been a whole slew of promises made concerning future clothing and accessory lines. Licensing agreements were signed for Mizrahi footwear, eyewear, beauty, and jewelry. And this just in: thanks to a deal struck with Burma Bibas, a menswear collection is on its way. The dress shirts and neckties will be sold for fall at department and speciality men's stores, according to WWD. We can only pray that Isaac is merely playing it safe for his first men's license--what we really want to see in terms of menswear from the Miz is everything he showed in Unzipped, but fit for a hot, young man-about-the-village. We're dying for the occasional fake fur hanging off of a ridiculous silhouette, color blocking with washed-out neons (the world's biggest conundrum) and anything but dress shirts and neckties. Right?
