The jewelry company calls a rival brand's campaign, "embarrassingly similar," to their own.
David Yurman, purveyor of fine jewelry and expensive baubles, is not so happy with advertisements released by a competing brand, Fred. Yurman (via Page Six) is publicly calling out Fred's campaign, featuring supermodel Kate Moss, for imitating their own from spring 2011 (left). Fred's ads, currently running in European fashion magazines, feature black-and-white shots of the model that appear to be a direct homage to Yurman's ads which ran earlier this year. A spokesperson from David Yurman said, "The Fred campaign is embarrassingly similar to the one David Yurman ran a year ago. When you are a leader in your category, you get used to people copying you. We are confident consumers know the difference." Meow!
