This just in: the Internet is a-buzz with the story that designer Marc Jacobs is dating Brazilian porn star Harry Louis. The news broke on the website GPS Brasilia, in a post from last week. Adding fire to the rumor is a tweet from Louis featuring a picture of the couple, and the caption, "What a great weekend thanks to the sweetest guy on earth, Marc Jacobs , see you soon in Paris baby... X." Upon further inspection, Louis's Twitter feed is filled with references to visiting an unnamed lover in Paris. Jacobs spends half his time in the City of Light for his work with the French label Louis Vuitton. Hmmm. At this point, everything is hearsay, but it certainly wouldn't be Jacobs's first relationship with someone working in the sex industry--he spent four years dating call-boy Jason Preston a few years back. We say good for Marc. He works hard and if he enjoys the company of Mr. Louis for the times when he's playing hard, he's a mighty lucky fellow. For those wondering what Jacobs sees in Louis, click (warning, NSFW!) here.
UDDATE: Queerty reached out to porn impressario Michael Lucas--whom Harry Louis has worked for and with--and Lucas says that Harry Louis has been in a relationship with Fernando Kairon (yet another porn star) for many years. Says Lucas: "Harry Louis himself indicated on several occasions that he is not interested in being separated from his boyfriend for even a moment. When we invited Harry to be in one of our last shoots in Ibiza in the end of November, he sent us an email specifying that he will not travel to be filmed there without his boyfriend, even if it just means having a day apart. He said, "We are one and nothing can separate us."
Hm, so maybe this speculation has all been for naught.
