Everyone's favorite bon mot-spewing fashionisto, Slate writer, and Barney's style liaison, Simon Doonan, made an appearance on Conan O'Brien's talk show last night. And it wasn't just for kicks--he had a very solemn mission.
"I'm on a one-man campaign to rid the world of man boobs," Doonan told Coco last night, who was on his show to promote his book Gay Men Don't Get Fat, which came out back in January.
And the title isn't just a command, it's a comparison. Doonan wants to reach out to the straight male community and get them to hit the gym along with the gays.
"Girls, they are unacceptable, am I right?" he said, enlisting the long suffering heterosexual companion--aka the straight woman--to help in his fight. "We need to make them feel wretched about their man boobs," he implored.
Way harsh, Simon! As we know, gay men come in all shapes and sizes and so do their straight counterparts.
Nonetheless, it was pretty hysterical watching Doonan interact with the two very straight dudes, Conan and his sidekick Andy Richter....especially Andy.
