British songstress Rita Ora had signed a PS500,000 ($783,000) contract to be the new face of Material Girl, the fashion label created by Madonna and her daughter Lola.
It is Madonna's daughter who suggested Ora as the new face of the brand. Lola is said to be a huge fan of the singer's and she's been spotted at some of her shows. The deal was sealed when the singer met Madonna at the Met Ball last month.
The Queen of Pop commented that she was drawn by Ora's unique sense of style:
"Rita is a talented beauty but what really drew us to her is the confidence she oozes through her music and her unique sense of style. On stage or off, in photos or on the street - she's a magnet! This is what the Material Girl brand is all about!"
The 22-year-old singer shared the news with her fans on her Instagram account:
"Joining forces with Madonna & Lola! It's Official Ritabots - I'm the new face of @MaterialGirl. #thisisamoment for me #icon #mymuse #argghhhhh#yeeeeaaahhhhhhh #excited :) :) :)"
According to the British daily The Sun, the photo shoot has already been completed. Rita Ora is also rumored to be preparing a clothing line for Topshop with model and BFF Cara Delevingne. In the meantime, you (and your little sister) can shop the current Material Girl collection at Macy's.
