Hunk alert!
Idris Elba attended the New York City premiere of Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom on Monday night.
The British actor, already touted as a front-runner in the Oscar race for his powerful portrayal of civil rights leader Nelson Mandela, chose a classic charcoal two-button suit by Burberry, paired with a matching grey shirt and a skinny black tie.
Elba was joined by his co-star Naomie Harris, who shines as Mandela's wife Winnie in the movie. Even Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour came out to support the movie. Both looked stunning, sporting outfits also signed Burberry.
The star-studded premiere was attended by over 800 guests, and we were among the lucky few who got to preview the movie before its official release on November 29. Without spoiling anything, let's just say that we have good reasons to hope Elba, Harris, and director Justin Chadwick will all get a statuette come March!
