Italian fashion designer Stefano Pilati and the South Korean film director Park Chan-wook (Oldboy, Stoker) have joined their creative forces on a new project to celebrate the values of Ermenegildo Zegna: A stylish short film, entitled A Rose Reborn.
In the film, a young C.E.O., played by British actor Jack Huston (American Hustle, Boardwalk Empire) undertakes a series of mysterious journeys around the globe, led by an enigmatic guide (Daniel Wu, a California-born Hong Kong director and actor).
Huston's character goes on a quest that takes him from London to Wyoming, Shanghai and Milan, where he learns what it means to be part of a new generation of leaders who are "successful, charismatic, and respectful of people and the planet", a motto that represents the ideals of the Zegna brand.
Huston and Wu both wear Pilati's Ermenegildo Zegna Couture collection throughout the film, showcasing the elegant Zegna "broken suit". The soundtrack is composed by Clint Mansell, who also scored Darren Aronofsky's Requiem For a Dream and Black Swan.
The project, which was initially presented in four installement, has just been released in its full, director's cut version. Watch it below:
