Riccardo Tisci, Givenchy's artistic director, was honored at Alicia Keys' Black Ball on October 30. The event, which is held at the Hammerstein Ballroom, in New York, benefits Keep a Child Alive (KCA), a nonprofit organization created by the singer to raise funds for young people living with HIV/AIDS.
Tisci received the KCA Humanitarian Award for "inspiring new and compassionate ways of thinking through his bold and unapologetic voice in challenging discrimination, while breaking cultural barriers in the fashion industry," according to the charity.
Now in its 11th season, the Black Ball has already raised more than $22.6 million for children and families affected by HIV/AIDS.
