This Christmas, Taylor Swift achieves her final form.
The upcoming feature film adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats is already one of the most perplexing movie musicals of all times thanks to its, um, eclectic cast which includes Jennifer Hudson, Taylor Swift, Judi Dench, Idris Elba, Rebel Wilson, James Corden, and Ian McKellen. But after behind-the-scenes footage was shown at CinemaCon on Wednesday, this film has skyrocketed from head-scratching to you have got to be kidding me levels, because the cats of director Tom Hooper's film will be the size of actual cats.
At the annual event in Las Vegas where the year's biggest films present first-look footage to the media, Cats was one of the most anticipated movie on the docket and it did not disappoint. While no finished scenes from the movie were shown, a behind-the-scenes featurette unveiled the earth-shattering revelation that this Christmas, we'll be seeing Taylor Swift as a life-sized cat.

"Behind the scenes footage of CATS reveals all the sets are gigantic, filled with oversized furniture and doorways and whatnot," one attendee tweeted. "This sounds like I'm doing a bit but I swear to you I am not." The featurette also revealed that filmmakers will use "digital fur technology to create the most perfect covering of fur." One commenter pointed out that the set in the original Broadway production was also oversized, but that's theater. It's going to be quite another thing to see a tiny Judi Dench covered in fur.
After the footage was shown, star Jennifer Hudson took the stage to perform the musical's most iconic song, 'Memory."

Nice, but Nicole Scherzinger outsold.
Cats is in theaters December 20.
