Yesssss, keep getting those jobs, Laverne!

Laverne Cox just landed her next movie role!

The Emmy-nominated Orange Is the New Black alum has been cast in the upcoming dystopian fantasy movie Uglies, according to Deadline.

Based on the bestselling YA novel of the same name, Uglies takes place in a world where a "compulsory operation at sixteen makes everyone pretty by conforming to an ideal standard of beauty."

The cast also includes Joey King, who will presumably be playing the book's main character Tally Youngblood, as well as Keith Powers, Brianne Tju, and Chase Stokes. It is currently unknown who Cox will play.

The film is being directed by McG, who is famous for directing the Charlie's Angels and The Babysitter movies, as well as Smash Mouth's "All Star" music video.

Cox is becoming quite the in-demand actress. After being nominated for an Emmy for her breakout role as Sophia Burset in Orange Is the New Black, Cox has appeared in shows like The Blacklist, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Dear White People, The Mindy Project, and more. She also appeared in films like Promising Young Woman, Bad Hair, and Grandma.

Next, Cox will be appearing in Shonda Rhimes' upcoming Netflix series Inventing Anna. The show, which is based on the New York Magazine feature "How Anna Delvey Tricked New York's Party People," follows a journalist played by Anna Chlumsky, who investigates the case of a Russian woman named Anna Sorokin who created the fictitious identity of Anna Delvey, a German heiress.

As Delvey, Sorokin scammed Manhattan socialites out of thousands of dollars before being arrested. In 2019, she was convicted of multiple counts of attempted grand larceny, theft of services, and larceny and is currently incarcerated at Albion Correctional Facility.

In the series, Cox will play Kacy Duke, a celebrity trainer and life coach "who -- while centered enough to keep herself out of the real trouble -- finds herself becoming a coach to more than just Anna in the wake of her crimes," according to Shondaland.

Watch the trailer for Inventing Anna below, and check out the series when it debuts on Netflix on February 11, 2022!
