And we have a certain HBO show to thank for that...

Bros almost had the most epic ass-eating scene in movie history.

In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Bros stars Billy Eichner and Luke Macfarlane revealed that at one point, the movie was set to have a rimming scene, complete with a "$30,000 butt rig" operated by puppeteers.

"There were certain positions we thought might be funny," Eichner said about filming sex scenes in the movie. "We were right about some of those, we were wrong about some of those. And all of a sudden, you know, out of nowhere, Luke will take your foot and put it in his face and you go from there."

He also revealed one sexual move that was too much for the film.

"There was some spitting that got cut," he said. But that wasn't the only thing. When EW asked if other things were cut, Macfarlane laughed and said "a very expensive prop."

Director Nick Stoller revealed that "there was a $30,000 butt rig Aaron goes down on" that ultimately went unused.

"We were going to shoot a rim job moment, but then The White Lotus beat us to the punch, so we cut that," Eichner said, joking that producer Judd Apatow's own butt was used as the model for the contraption. Macfarlane added that he remembers trying to put his mouth on the prop while it was being operated by two puppeteers from the other side of the bed.

We loved the sex scenes in Bros, but this could've taken it to another level. Maybe one day we'll get an extended cut of the film with all the sex scenes they didn't include.

Bros, which is much better than the box office results it got, is currently playing in theaters and is available on digital.
