Here's the Full Cast of the Upcoming 'Wicked' Movies
The Wizard & them!

After countless delays concerning the cinematic adaptation of Wicked, we know that it'll be divided into two movies -- and Universal even dropped release dates for those two films! We also have the full cast of Wicked that will be playing both new and familiar characters.
The Wicked musical is an unofficial prequel to The Wizard of Oz based on Gregory Maguire's 1995 novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. Ever since the show premiered in New York City back in 2003, Wicked has become one of the most popular and successful musicals of all time.
As expected, director Jon M. Chu (In the Heights, Crazy Rich Asians) has assembled a truly star-studded cast for these two Wicked films. From Broadway veterans to Bridgerton hunks to comedy icons to world-famous popstars, this cast is giving us everything we needed, and more!
Wicked: Part One is scheduled to premiere on Christmas Day in 2024.

Cynthia Erivo (Elphaba)
The leading star of the Wicked movies is Cynthia Erivo, who'll be playing Elphaba. People are already freaking out over Erivo using her powerhouse vocals to sing Wicked anthems such as "Defying Gravity," "The Wizard and I," and "I'm Not That Girl," among others.

Ariana Grande (Glinda)
Ariana Grande is dipping back into acting to play Glinda in Wicked. She is the second most important character of the story, only behind Elphaba herself. After developing a "frenemies" dynamic with Elphaba, Glinda eventually becomes the Good Witch of the North that we've come to know in the original The Wizard of Oz film.
