She didn't come to play, she came to slay!
Earlier this week, three-time RuPaul's Drag Race finalist and All Stars 5 winner Shea Coulee expressed to E! News how excited she is to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe on the upcoming series Ironheart.
Coulee explained:
"It's really so humbling to be able to crossover into a much more mainstream avenue, and push the needle forward as far as drag is concerned, in the way that it's consumed and in pop culture. I'm so deeply excited for everyone to see what this role is, what it entails and everything it is."
The All Stars 7 legend continued:
"Everyone at Marvel has been so unbelievably open and receptive to my experiences and my expertise about drag. And they've allowed me to really come in to the MCU and put my very specific Shea Coulee print on the Marvel Universe."
On Thursday, August 11, Coulee shared yet another update about her experience filming Ironheart so far. "I had SO MUCH fun on set today. Acting in a Marvel series?! 10/10 would recommend," the Drag Race superstar wrote.
It is still unclear which character Coulee will be playing on Ironheart. Given that the titular character - Riri Williams - will only be introduced in the upcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever sequel, it's safe to say that Marvel Studios will keep as many secrets as possible when it comes to the other characters on Ironheart for the time being.
Nonetheless, fans of RuPaul's Drag Race and the Marvel Cinematic Universe cannot wait to see what Ms. Coulee will be bringing to this universe in the near future.
Marvel Studios' Ironheart is scheduled to premiere in 2023 on Disney+.
