2023 is getting a super queer start at the box office!
As we make our way into 2023, it's time to take a look at some of the upcoming LGBTQ-inclusive movies coming out. From films starring our favorite gay actors, to movies about queer characters and potential camp classics, we've got you covered.
What movies are you most looking forward to in 2023? And which of these movies will you be checking out?
'M3GAN' - January 6
This horror flick about an artificially intelligent doll looks like the next camp classic. From Allison Williams, to M3gan's sassy comebacks, to her running on all fours, to her dancing in the hallway, we're in love with absolutely everything about this movie. Only in theaters.
'Teen Wolf: The Movie' - January 26
Tyler Posey, Colton Haynes, and a bunch of the original Teen Wolf cast are back in this movie sequel to the uber-popular MTV show. As a new, terrifying evil emerges, Scott McCall and his allies must reunite to face off against their most powerful and deadly enemy. Debuting on Parmount+.
'80 For Brady' - February 3
This movie has all the gay icons you could want: Jane Fonda, Rita Morena, Sally Field, and lesbain legend Lily Tomlin star as a group of friends who complete a lifelong goal by traveling to the Super Bowl to meet their favorite player, quarterback Tom Brady. Only in theaters.
'Knock at the Cabin' - February 3
Ben Aldridge and Jonathan Groff star as a married couple on vacation at a cabin in the woods with their daughter when four imposing strangers trap them and force them to make a devastating decision. M. Night Shyamalan's new movie looks like it could be his best in a long time. Only in theaters.
'Magic Mike's Last Dance' - February 10
Channing Tatum is back as the best male exotic dancer in the world one more time, taking his talents all the way to England thanks to a new character played by Salma Hayek. Unfortunately it seems the crew (including our fave Matt Bomer) won't be back, but we still can't wait to watch. Only in theaters.
'Of an Age' - February 10
This Australian drama is being released in the US this year. It follows Kol, a Serbian immigrant to Australia who enters a brief but intense romance with the brother of his ballroom dance partner. Only in theaters.
'Scream VI' - March 10
Mindy Meeks-Martin (the wonderful Jasmin Savoy-Brown) survived Ghostface last time, but now that she's left Woodsboro for New York City will she survive one more time? She's back along with Gale Weathers (Courtney Cox), Sam and Tara Carpenter (Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega), Chad Meeks-Martin (Mason Gooding), and Kirby Reed (Hayden Panettiere) in this new sequel in the classic slasher franchise. Only in theaters.
