After being snubbed by the Oscars, the haunting queer romance just won three big awards!

After being one of the best-reviewed movies of the year, Andrew Haigh’s beautifully haunting film All of Us Strangers got no love from this year’s Oscar nominations and only a single nomination from the Golden Globes (Andrew Scott for Best Actor), but now, the movie has gotten some much deserved recognition this awards season.

The Dorian Awards are given out every year by GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics, a group of 500 LGBTQ+ film critics, and this year, All of Us Strangers took home both the LGBTQ Film of the Year award and the Film of the Year award, beating films like Barbie, May December, Past Lives, and Poor Things.

All of Us Strangers also picked up the award for LGBTQ Screenplay of the Year, making it the most-awarded movie of the night.

Other multiple winners include Barbie, which won for Director (Greta Gerwig) and Film Music of the Year, Anatomy of a Fall, which won Non-English Language Film and LGBTQ Non-English Language Film, May December, which won for Screenplay of the Year (Samy Burch) and Supporting Film Performance for Charles Melton, Poor Things, which won in both the Genre Film of the Year and Visually Striking Film of the Year categories, and Kokomo City, which won in both Documentary and LGBTQ Documentary.

Other winners included Lily Gladstone, who won the gender neutral Film Performance of the Year award for Killers of the Flower Moon, M3GAN, which won Campiest Flick, and The Boy and The Heron, which won for Animated Film.

The Bear and Bottoms star Ayo Edebiri won the “We’re Wilde About You!” Rising Star Award, with May December director Todd Haynes winning the Wild Artist Award for “a truly groundbreaking force in entertainment.”

Colman Domingo, who was nominated for an Oscar for Rustin, won the GALECA LGBTQIA+ Film Trailblazer Award. Finally, the Timeless Star career achievement award went to Jodie Foster, who this year is nominated for an Oscar for her supporting performance in Nyad.

All of Us Strangers is now streaming on Hulu.
