"Luca had a very clear idea of what happens on the bed," he said.

Josh O’Connor is sharing details about one of the most buzzed-about movie scenes coming out this year.

We cannot wait for Luca Guadagnino’s upcoming tennis drama Challengers, and one scene in the trailer has got us particularly excited.

Challengers follows two best friends and tennis pros, Patrick (O’Connor) and Art (Mike Faist), as they meet a young tennis prodigy Tashi (Zendaya) and both fall for her. Years later, she’s married to one of them and the two are opponents in a tournament. It looks like it’s going to be one of the best, and sexiest movies of the year.

The film’s love triangle is one of the biggest selling points, and in one scene, we see exactly why.

In that scene, shown in the film’s trailer, Patrick and Art are each trying to seduce Tashi when she invites both of them to come on the bed with her and start kissing her.

Now, O’Connor has opened up about what filming the scene was like, and what was planned and what was improvised.

“Luca had a very clear idea of what happens on the bed,” O’Connor told Vanity Fair. “The idea of me and Mike, with Zendaya in the middle—this idea that it’s kissing, kissing, and then it turns into this three-way kiss—and then suddenly Mike and I are kissing. That was very clear. We all kind of figured out, how are we going to do this? How does this work?”

“There is an element of improvisation with it. It was fairly organic,” he continued. “We did little things, like, when they’re sitting on the floor and she goes onto the bed, I was up in a flash and not holding back. That came from us knowing our characters well, and knowing the dynamics between the three of us.”

Challengers releases hits theaters on April 26.
