The gworls and gays literally have their panties in a bunch after a leaked clip from the upcoming gay drama film Queerstarted making the rounds on X.
The highly-anticipated movie screened on Monday (September 9) during the currently ongoing Toronto International Film Festival as a after A24 acquired the distribution rights of the film not too long ago.
Based on the novel of the same name by William S. Burroughs, the film stars Daniel Craig and Drew Starkey, and follows William Lee (Craig), an American ex-pat in his late forties, as he leads a solitary life amidst a small American community. However, the arrival in town of Eugene Allerton (Starkey), a young student, stirs William into finally establishing a meaningful connection with someone.
While it currently makes the festival circuit and we wait for the film to be released to the world at large, a clip that shows Craig and Starkey getting intimate may hold us over. In the about :30 seconds clip, you see an aroused Starkey on the bed with Craig sniffing his... you know where... before proceeding to strip him down. It teases the viewer as before it gets even steamier, the video ends.
While the steamy scenes may have some discourse we can forsee, for Starkey, it didn't phase him one bit. In a recent interview with Variety, he shared he and Craig were "game for anything."
We just were like, “Let’s go for it, let’s have fun," he began.
"He was a great partner to have in that. I think him and I share that same mentality of just not giving a shit. And [Luca Guadagnino] was so specific — he wanted us to be as comfortable as possible throughout that process, and we would block off where these intimate scenes would happen and we talked months in advance about what we thought it should be. It was also like a dance. We were trying to figure it out. But those were some of the most fun days I think we all had on set — just Daniel and I laughing.
The film has yet to have a release date, but we're hope it's coming soon!
We're gonna keep this clip for, you know, research purposes.
