These dolls… they’re driving away!
Starring Margaret Qualley as Jamie, Geraldine Viswanathan as Marian, and Beanie Feldstein as Sukie, Drive-Away Dolls is the latest film from Ethan Coen (of the Coen Brothers) and his wife, Tricia Cooke.
In an interview with Out contributor Gabriella Angelina, Qualley, Viswanathan, and Feldstein shared their experiences filming Drive-Away Dolls while also discussing how shook they were by the surprising Miley Cyrus cameo in a psychedelic montage in the movie. “We were all absolutely shook,” Viswanathan said.
Qualley recalled that seeing Cyrus live was her first-ever concert, noting that she distinctively remembers the performance of “The Climb.” Viswanathan added that having Cyrus in Drive-Away Dolls is “just the cherry on top” of an already incredible journey.
The 'Drive-Away Dolls' cast were shook about the film's epic Miley Cyrus …
When asked which celebrity — dead or alive — they’d like to take a road trip with, Qualley said that it would be Philip Seymour Hoffman. Meanwhile, Viswanathan picked out a spicier choice: Marlon Brando. As for Feldstein, her choice would be Melissa McCarthy.
Qualley’s past acting credits include roles in Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, Fosse/Verdon, Poor Things, Sanctuary, and Maid. In turn, Viswanathan has been seen in Miracle Workers, Janet King, Blockers, Bad Education, and The Beanie Bubble, to name a few.
Besides Cyrus, Drive-Away Dolls also features exciting cameos from actors such as Colman Domingo, Pedro Pascal, Matt Damon, Joey Slotnick, Bill Camp, and C. J. Wilson. Needless to say, this star-studded, hilarious film is a must-watch!
Drive-Away Dolls is now playing in theaters.
