The trailer for the upcoming serial killer road trip movie He Went That Way just dropped recently, and it’s full of hot men and murder!
After seeing him star inSaltburn and Priscilla, we may be slightly obsessed with Jacob Elordi. Add in out actor Zachary Quinto — who we fell in love with in Down Low earlier this year — and a chimp, and you’ve got yourself a movie!
The film is a dark comedy based on the exploits of serial killer Bobby Falls (Elordi), who goes on a road trip with animal handler Jim Goodwin (Quinto) and his star chimpanzee. It's based on Conrad Hilberry’s book Luke Karamazov aboutthe true story of celebrity animal trainer Dave Pitts, who was the only person to survive Larry Lee Rane's killing spree as the two drove across Route 66 with Pitt’s chimp Spanky in tow.
While that premise sounds terrifying, the trailer also hints at an underlying sexual tension between the two men, and we are hyped for it!
And here's a few reasons why!
1. There is a chimp in the movie!
Vertical/YouTube
In a film about a serial killer, you wouldn't expect to find an adorable chimpanzee riding around the country with his trainer, but that is part of the darkly comic charm of this movie.
2. The electric chemistry between the two stars
Vertical/YouTube
Elordi and Quinto crackle on screen together. We don't know whether their chemistry is explored or if the sexual tension just permeates the film, but we're excited to find out!
3. Jacob Elordi smoking
Vertical/YouTube
We know smoking is bad for you, blah, blah, blah, but you have to admit that Elordi looks sexy as hell smoking in the car the two men are road-tripping across the country in.
4. Jacob Elordi's character getting dressed in front of Zachary Quinto
Vertical/YouTube
Need we say more?
5. Jacob Elordi's dom energy
Vertical/YouTube
Okay, yes, we recognize a lot of these are about how hot Elordi is, but can you blame us? Plus in the scene we see him shirtless while Quinto is gagged which is giving us a lot of naughty ideas about this film!
6. The action!
Vertical/YouTube
We love a good thriller, and the trailer shows off a ton of action scenes with shootings and car chases. Now that we've seen a sneak peek of those exciting moments and the electric chemistry between the two stars, we can't wait to see it!
