JoJo Siwa is going from Dancing With the Stars to Running From the Killer.
The 19-year-old singer, dancer, and actor has landed her next film role in the new horror/thriller film All My Friends Are Dead.
All My Friends Are Dead also stars Jade Pettyjohn (Little Fires Everywhere), with Saw 3D writer Marcus Dunstan is directing from a screenplay by writers Josh Sims and Jessica Sarah Flaum.
The movie follows a group of close college friends who find a suspiciously good deal on an Airbnb for the biggest musical festival of the year. “A weekend of partying quickly takes a turn for the worst as members of the group are murdered one by one,” the description reads. “They soon discover that each one of their deaths directly corresponds to one of the seven deadly sins.”
“I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the upcoming movie All My Friends Are Dead,” Siwa said. “This is a project that is so different from anything I’ve done previously; however, I absolutely love horror movies and I can’t wait to start production! I’m also excited to work with Jade again. We worked together when we were younger and can’t wait to create this movie together.”
Siwa and Pettyjohn both appeared as themselves in several Nickelodeon holiday specials in 2017. Siwa also appeared in two episodes of the Nickelodeon tv show School of Rock, which starred Pettyjohn.
Siwa has acted in a few movies before, voicing characters in The Angry Birds Movie 2, and playing a version of herself in the 2021 movie The J Team. In The J Team, Siwa played a teen girl who gets kicked out of her dance troupe and has to form a new one with a team of ragtag dancers. This will be her first horror role. From our Sponsors
