We are falling crazy in love with Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn!
More set photos and videos of pop and film icon Lady Gaga filming scenes as Harley Quinn for the upcoming Joker: Folie à Deux are getting released online, and we are getting more and more excited with each one.
Gaga signed up for the sequel to the Oscar-winning film last summer. The new movie is said to be a musical, with Gaga singing new songs.
While at first, we didn’t know what to expect from this new version of Harley Quinn from director Todd Phillips, but now we’re getting a better picture thanks to some set images.
One image shows the front page of the fictional newspaper The Gotham Examiner, with the headline “Crazy In Love” alongside a picture of Harleen Quinzel’s Arkham State Hospital mugshot and a picture of The Joker. “Joker has a new love…” the paper reads.
There are also pictures that appear to show her “in costume” as the character. However, instead of the usual pigtails or domino mask, Gaga’s Quinn is much more grounded and fits in with the style of the first Joker movie.
Gaga’s Quinn wears the black and white harlequin pattern on a shirt underneath a gaudy red jacket with poofy sleeves. She has her bleach-blonde hair slicked back and black makeup lines going through her eyes. It definitely harkens to the circus and harlequins, but is also very in line with Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker’s look from the first film.
Another interesting clip shows Gaga’s Quinn walking up the steps to a courthouse, with throngs of people on both sides of the stairs, including some who are dressed up in Joker makeup and costumes to support their hero.
As Quinn walks up the stairs, a woman to her right gestures at her, seemingly saying something. Quinn reacts by pausing, walking up to the woman, grabbing her face, and kissing her passionately on the lips! We stan a bicon!
These new looks are giving us a better and better picture of Joker 2 and Gaga’s performance every day, and we’ve got to say, we are loving it!
