You can't read the doll! 'M3GAN 2.0' trailer has the gays glitching
Oops… she did it again!
America's favorite killer android is back, and the internet is eating her up.
A new trailer for M3GAN 2.0 abandons most of the horror elements of the first film and leans into the sci-fi action elements. The sequel also features the inevitable yassification of the M3GAN doll, and the gays are living for it.
While the first film had light touches of camp that made it a perfect gay sleeper hit, this sequel is fully embarrassing its camp appeal and allowing M3GAN to be the gay icon she was always meant to be.
In the new trailer, M3GAN doubles down on her vow to "do whatever it takes to protect Cady" (played by Violet McGraw, who's reprising her role from the first movie).
If you need a refresher: Cady's mother, Gemma (Allison Williams), was the designer who created the original M3GAN doll. As we come to learn in this trailer, M3GAN has now become a cute and harmless household-helper robot.
When it's revealed that a new, more advanced, and more deadly android Amelia (Ivanna Sakhno) is out to kill everyone involved in designing her, Gemma and Cady must turn to M3GAN in order to survive.
"Everyone deserves a second chance," Cady says. "Even killer robots."
After getting an upgrade ("I wanna be stronger, faster, and while you're at it, make me taller," she says), M3GAN goes full Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible by diving off a cliff and soaring with a wing-suit to break into some kind of military compound. "Hold onto your vaginas," she says.
"I don't care if she did kill four people, she is a smoking hot warrior princess," one fan shouts in the trailer, and fans in real life are reacting the exact same way.
Keep scrolling to read how fans are reacting to this trailer of M3GAN 2.0 — which opens June 27 in theaters.
