We Can Feel the Gay Tension in 1st Clips of 'Red, White & Royal Blue'

A gay love story of international implications!

Once upon a time, two sworn rivals realized that they have a major crush on each other.

In the first official clips of the upcoming Red, White & Royal Blue film, the characters of Alex Claremont-Diaz (Taylor Zakhar Perez) and Prince Henry (Nicholas Galitzine) are seen coming to terms with having to spend time together.

In the Red, White & Royal Blue novel, it is explained that Alex, the First Son of the United States, is not a huge fan of Henry, a British prince. However, it doesn’t take long for that “frenemies” dynamic to turn into a romantic and sexual awakening for the two characters.

In this first clip, Alex and Henry are being interviewed together and get asked to “scooch in” closer to each other. They are clearly very tentative about getting physically closer, and you can cut this gay tension with a knife!

The second released clip from Red, White & Royal Blue shows Alex and Henry walking outside. Henry asks Alex if he’s hungry, and once again, what happens to be a pretty innocuous question turns into full tension mode for these horny characters. “Yeah, I could eat,” Alex replies.

With a premiere date set for August 11 on Amazon Prime Video, the cast of Red, White & Royal Blue also features Uma Thurman, Stephen Fry, Clifton Collins Jr., Sarah Shahi, Ellie Bamber, Polo Morín, and Rachel Hilson, among others.
