Casey McQuiston’s gay rom-com novel Red, White & Royal Blue is being adapted into a live-action feature film starring Taylor Zakhar Perez as Alex Claremont-Diaz (a.k.a. the First Son of the United States) and Nicholas Galitzine as Henry (a British Prince, third in line to the British throne).
As the story goes, Alex and Henry are “frenemies” who tolerate each other as being the children of political leaders. However, the dynamic between them shifts when Henry reveals himself to be gay and Alex realizes he’s bi. Alex begins to realize that his hate of Henry might’ve been rooted in secretly desiring him, and let’s just say that Henry feels similarly.
This gay rom-com will now become a major movie from Amazon Prime Video starring Uma Thurman, Sarah Shahi, Stephen Fry, Polo Morin, Rachel Hilson, and Ellie Bamber. Matthew López, who’s adapting the Red, White & Royal Blue novel into a screenplay, is also directing the film.
While we wait for further details about the Red, White & Royal Blue movie, this feels like the perfect time to get to know its leading stars even better!
