The Smile 2 teaser trailer unleashes new frights that have us we're grinning in terror

Lukas Gage in Smile 2
Paramount Pictures

Hollywood has unlocked a new way to beat up Lukas Gage on-screen… and, yes, we're already freaking out!

It will never let go.

Prepare for Smile 2, where pop sensation Skye Riley (played by Naomi Scott) faces off with the horrifying force from the first film after a concert. Things take a turn when she crosses paths with a terrified man running from the darkness. Once they catch their breath, that freakishly iconic smile spreads across Lukas Gage's face, followed by his character smashing a weight into his face.

The second film in the Smile franchise is set to be just as creepy and uneasy as the first… and possibly even scarier! The sequel is jam-packed with talent, starring actors such as Naomi Scott, Lukas Cage, Kyle Gallner, Raúl Castillo, and Rosemarie DeWitt. The original Smile film was incredibly well-received by audiences, grossing $217 million at the box office around the world.

The trailer also includes scenes of a man being hit by a car, leaving a smile-shaped trail of blood behind. Gage is bound to become something of our nightmares, and Scott is set to steal the screen with incredibly daunting and terrifying moments. One thing is certain: Smile 2 will include enough gore to fill the hearts of horror fans everywhere.

The creepiest of smiles will be returning to the big screen just in time for spooky season in 2024. We're placing our bets on how outrageous this new Parker Finn film will be. And if it's anything like the first one, we're pre-seated and pre-stressed!

Smile 2 opens Friday, October 18 in theaters.
