It's hard to believe, but it's already been 15 years since fashion icon and Out100 alum Tom Ford made his feature film directorial debut with the critically-acclaimed gay drama film A Single Man!
Based on Christopher Isherwood's novel of the same name, the film tells the story of George Falconer (Colin Firth) a sad, lonely British professor dealing with the aftermath of the loss of his beloved partner Jim (Matthew Goode) in early '60s Southern California.
Lush, moody, and stylish AF, the film (which also starred Julianne Moore, Nicholas Hoult, and Jon Kortajarena) garnered all sorts of praise and numerous awards season nominations, most notably at the 2010 Academy Awards when Firth's performance garnered him a Best Actor nomination.
Looking back, the film had an amazing run during its press tour during the latter half of 2009 (starting at the 66th Venice Film Festival), and since it just turned 15 this year, we wanted to take a look back and see what it was like at the time to promoting one of the larger queer cinema canon's most iconic titles!
Scroll through to see some major throwbacks from A Single Man's press tour! And if you want to revisit the film, A Single Man is currently streaming on Tubi and the Criterion Channel.
