According to the Oscar winner, who worked on costumes for Wicked and Wicked: For Good at the same time, the 2025 sequel to the 2024 blockbuster musical film will "not disappoint."

"The second part spends a lot of time in Emerald City," the costume designer told Out in a red carpet interview. "So, the looks are elevated in that."

Reflecting on the aesthetic evolution for Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Glinda (Ariana Grande) from the first Wicked film to its Wicked: For Good sequel, Tazewell added:

"We see these women evolve, internally and emotionally — and also evolving in their fashion; how they represent themselves."

Fans who fell in love with the first movie can hardly wait for the Wicked: For Good sequel to be released in theaters later this year. If anything, Tazewell's well-deserved and historic Academy Award victory added even more buzz for that next chapter in Elphaba's journey.

Wicked: For Good premieres on November 21, 2025 in theaters.
