Union spoke to Out on the Oscars red carpet!

Gabrielle Union and her husband Dwyane Wade looked stunning on the Oscars red carpet where Out’s Gabriella Angelina asked her about a movie project she’s working on with Eva Longoria.

“We have a couple projects together,” Union told Out. “One is called Divorcees, and the other is a take on Mother of the Bride, except it is two mothers of nonbinary children who get married.”

Back in 2022, we found out that Union and Longoria were developing what was then called an “LGBTQ+ wedding comedy” that they would produce and star in together as the parents of a queer couple. Now we know that the couple will be made up of nonbinary people.

Union told Variety at the that the movie would be about how “Eva and I try to take over their wedding [planning] and make it the wedding of our dreams versus theirs.”

Union was attending the Oscars with her husband, Wade, who was a first time Oscar nominee this year. He is nominated for executive producing The Barber of Little Rock, which is nominated for Best Documentary Short.
