Who knew a pair of swim shorts could be this powerful?!!?

Just when we thought we couldn't love the Olympics any more, Arno Kamminga hopped into the swimming pool!

Kamminga, who swims for the Dutch Olympic team, finished in 6th place in the Men's 100m breaststroke event. But his swim trunks definitely won gold.

While the trunks in question are pretty standard Olympic swimwear, they took on a different appearance when Kamminga got out of the pool.

As soon as the swimmer stepped back on dry land, voices across the internet rang out in praise.

The Dutch swim trunks are blue on the crotch area, with a red band around it. The legs are an orange shade similar to Kamminga's skin color and has dots all over it. This has the effect of creating an optical illusion where it seems Kammiga is only wearing a speedo while his competitors wear shorts.

Fittingly, the internet is going wild.

This isn't Kamminga's first Olympic games. The swimmer also competed in Tokyo in 2021 and won two silver medals there.
