Let's face it: Super Bowl XIV wasn't the queerest event on the 2025 cultural calendar — though a surprise pre-show performance by Lady Gaga and a bold halftime show from Kendrick Lamar (with help from SZA and a dancing Serena Williams) did add some pride to the proceedings.
But that didn't stop the gays from turning out to this year's the Big Gay Super Bowl Party, an annual watch party and fundraiser hosted by Brian Pendleton. The packed event at a private Hollywood Hills residence draws something of a Who's Who from the gay L.A. scene. And this year, it raised much-needed funds for the Out Athlete Fund, Pride House, and UFLAC's 2025 Wildfire Firefighter Support Campaign.
"Huge thanks for all the love and good vibes at the 2025 Big Gay Super Bowl Party, where we came together to raise funds for the Out Athlete Fund, Pride House, and UFLAC’s 2025 Wildfire Firefighter Support Campaign," Pendleton wrote in a post-event Instagram post. "I am grateful for this incredible community and the impact we’re making together!"
