Which streamers have the best (and worst) Pride Month content? We ranked them!

Celebrating Pride Month with these streaming services!

Pride Month is officially underway, and so is a wider demonstration of LGBTQ+ support from different mainstream companies. That includes Hollywood studios and streaming services, which are known to consistently push messages of inclusion and diversity.

Going into Pride Month in 2024, we're all starting to see the Pride collections from streaming services (and the studios that own them). This includes campaigns from Netflix, Max, Hulu, Disney+, and others that have joined the Pride party with their own personalized, cultivated collections. As a result, we've compiled a list of Pride presentations from all major streaming services in the U.S., and ranked them from worst to best!

7. Prime Video

Go ahead, girl, give us nothing! Prime Video finishes this list in last place as a result of having the worst Pride presentation… considering there is none.

The streaming service opted for just having a collection of LGBTQ+ content, but no actual representation to celebrate Pride Month. Not a single rainbow can be found, even though Prime Video is the home of films like Red, White & Royal Blue, Bottoms, Love Lies Bleeding, and, soon, even Challengers! You will find all the spicy gay content you might love in this catalog — but a Pride banner, or even a graphic of any sort, would have been nice, perhaps?

6. Hulu

Hulu's Pride presentation was fine, except for the fact that you have to specifically search for it in order to find it. Moreover, it felt more like a pop up than a proper "presentation." When you do find the Pride section, it's PACKED with iconic TV shows and films like Schitt's Creek, Will & Grace, Pose, and one of its latest additions, Under the Bridge.

You will be fully entertained throughout Pride Month if you're streaming content on Hulu, but we did expect that its Pride presentation would look a little better than this.

5. Netflix

One thing about Netflix: the content is there.

While this Pride presentation is absolutely subpar (and even a little bland), Netflix is packed with groundbreaking queer projects ranging from Orange Is the New Black to Sex Education to the Disclosure documentary. There's just no shortage of great LGBTQ+ stories in this catalog, so we won't hold this very boring backsplash against them.

4. Disney+

When compared to the other entries on this list, Disney+ didn't do the most… but it also didn't do the least! We don't hate a cute little pride graphic, even if it would've been nice to see some iconic queer characters on the front page of the streaming service.

On the other hand, Disney+ does have a ton of LGBTQ+ content with TV shows such Glee and Love, Victor, as well as cute projects like the Pixar short film Out.

3. Peacock

It might be controversial, but Chucky (of Child's Play) is a gay icon in his own way! Peacock turned it out for Pride Month with a very odd but ICONIC combination of queer icons. The streaming service also has an insane amount of queer media in its catalog… we're talking about movies like Brokeback Mountain, Our Son, and Drive-Away Dolls, and TV shows such as the most recent reboots of Queer as Folk and Vampire Academy, not to mention everything in the Bravo universe.

There is no shortage of entertainment on this one!

2. Paramount+

Paramount+ also did an incredible job with its Pride section this year! The streaming service pulled out the one and only RuPaul to be front and center, which is a perfect choice considering that Paramount+ houses all of our RuPaul's Drag Race needs.

Not only is Paramount+ filled with drag, the streamer's catalog also features some incredible queer classics. Titles like But I'm A Cheerleader, Mean Girls(the original and the 2024 musical reboot), and Rocketman are a few great examples. Paramount+ is now offering a service that includes Showtime, bringing you critically acclaimed queer content likeFellow Travelers and Yellowjackets!

1. Max

Max not only has an incredible amount of quality queer content, but it also delivered a stellar Pride presentation to celebrate this month.

With representation on all fronts — including even new seasons and episodes throughout June from shows like Trixie Motel: Drag Me Home, Hacks, and We're Here — Max pulled all the stops for this one, and hit the nail on the head! Other titles to stream on Max this Pride Month also include award-winning programming such as The Last of Us, The Stroll, Harley Quinn, and And Just Like That…, just to name a few!
