One kiss is all it takes to fall in love with this mermaid Barbie.

On Tuesday, April 4, Dua Lipa was announced as a cast member in the upcoming live-action Barbie movie directed by Greta Gerwig. Unlike other actors attached to the film, Lipa’s casting was an absolute surprise up until her poster for the movie was released on social media.

But other than starring in the film, Lipa is also set to record the theme song for the Barbie film (via The Daily Mail). It had already been confirmed that Aqua’s iconic “Barbie Girl” song wouldn’t be featured in the movie, and it seems like Lipa has a brand-new bop to serve as the project’s official theme song.

What’s more, new rumors suggest that Lipa has much more than just one song in the works for this live-action Barbie, claiming that the “Physical” singer has already recorded “several brand-new songs” for the soundtrack of the film.

The rest of the Barbie movie cast will feature Margot Robbie as the main Barbie, Hari Nef as Doctor Barbie, Issa Rae as President Barbie, Kate McKinnon as Destroyed Barbie, Nicola Coughlan as Diplomat Barbie, Emma Mackey as Nobel Prize Scientist Barbie, Ana Cruz Kayne as Supreme Court Justice Barbie, Sharon Rooney as Lawyer Barbie, and Alexandra Shipp as Author Barbie.

The male actors in Barbie include Ryan Gosling, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Simu Liu, Ncuti Gatwa, and Scott Evans all playing different versions of Ken. Meanwhile, Michael Cera is playing Allan, Will Ferrell is playing Mother, Connor Swindells is playing an intern, and Jamie Demetriou is playing a suit.

We can’t wait to hear Dua Lipa’s Barbie theme song, and can only hope that these rumors about multiple songs in the soundtrack are true as well! Maybe even a collab with Barbz-in-Chief Nicki Minaj!?

Barbie opens July 21 in theaters.
