Some of the biggest queer artists in the world released new records (Billie Eilish, Tyler, the Creator), some amazing rising artists continued their big breakthroughs (Chappell Roan, Doechii) and some legends put out new classics (Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga).

40. "All Girls Go to Heaven" - Zolita
In a difficult year, Zolita's lesbian anthem about heaven being made specially for us and how nothing is better than being queer and out was a much needed healing balm.
39. "Cowboys are Frequently Secretly Fond of Each Other" - Orville Peck ft. Willie Nelson
Orvile Peck teamed up with country legend Willie Nelson on this cover of the classic song about the true secrets of cowboys.
38. "Reason Why" - SOPHIE ft. Kim Petras, BC Kingdom
On iconic producer SOPHIE's posthumous album, this song with trans pop singer Kim Petras reminds us all of just how great an artist SOPHIE was.
37. "FML" - Towa Bird

In this song, Cynthia Erivo claims the role of Elphaba for herself, becoming the defining singer of all her songs. Sure, "Defying Gravity" is great, but it's this song where she takes the crown.

Katie Gavin of MUNA released her folksy solo debut this year, and on this duet with Mitski, she shows us the heights she can reach without her band.
12. "Wanna Be" - GloRilla ft. Megan Thee Stallion
Megan Thee Stallion helped GloRilla's breakout year by appearing on this song with the iconic catchphrase "white boy wasted, Channing Tatum."
11. "Guess featuring billie eilish" - Charli xcx ft. Billie Eilish
Charli xcx's brat was one of the biggest albums of the year, and she made it even bigger by doing a remix album that featured instant classics like this ultra-sexy duet where Billie Eilish talks about underwear.
10. "Denial is a River" - Doechii
Doechii tells her story in her own words on this killer track that blazes by in under three minutes. She shows off her lyrical genius, with great rhymes, brilliant punchlines, and an amazing flow.

Dance pop Gaga came back in a big way this year with this club banger that sounds like her early eras. While Joker 2 might've been a big disappointment, this song was not!

We're all living in Tyler, the Creator's world, and with "Sticky" he brought along three of the best rappers in the game for a song backed by a full marching band.
7. "Birds of a Feather" - Billie Eilish
While some of Elish's songs this year were more sexual ("Lunch," "Guess"), on "Birds of a Feather," she shows how romantic she can be. And to a lesbian, what's more romantic than saying you love someone so much you want to die?
6. "Not My Fault" - Reneé Rapp ft. Megan Thee Stallion
At the beginning of the year, these two queer icons teamed up for this fun and funny song from the Mean Girls soundtrack. It's ballsy, it's bossy, it's blonde, and it's bad as hell.
5. "Nasty" - Tinashe
Tinashe has been that bitch for years, and in 2024 she had her first solo single on the Billboard Hot 100 with this ode to being a freak. "Is somebody gonna match my freak? Is somebody gonna match my nasty?" she sings, and we all sang along.
4. "Lunch" - Billie Eilish
In the year Eilish came out, she also put out some killer queer bangers, including this song about eating girls out. It's a strong statement with zero ambiguity, and it's a bop.
3. "Balloon" - Tyler the Creator, Doechii
Tyler and Doechii are nonstop fun and braggadocio on this song where Tyler raps "I don't live girls bitch I'm way up too hot/bitch I'm on my own dick I don't need your box" and Doechii matches by saying "I'm a bit bitch but I need that pussy now/If he is gay then I am gay and we are nouns."
2. "Good Luck, Babe!" - Chappell Roan
This was the year of Chappell Roan, and when she released the song "Good Luck, Babe!", an anthem about comphet, she made it on the Billboard charts for the first time, peaking at number 4.

Two of the biggest stars in music teamed up this year to give us one of the best romantic duets of all-time. It's country, it's rock, it's beautiful. It's the best song of the year.
