Sorry BeyHive, but the visuals aren't coming any time soon...

Honey, you are the visual.

Beyoncé has been toying with our hearts since the summer of 2022 after releasing the first of three albums in her proposed three-act trilogy, Renaissance. Though she did drop a teaser video of what looked to be footage of the visuals for the track "I'm That Girl," shortly after Renaissance came out, she never released any other visuals for that album, instead dropping another whole LP two years later, Cowboy Carter, on March 29, 2024. (Best day in the world, might I add!)

The running gag on social media surrounding the lack of accompanying visual media for Queen Bey's two latest albums began to be, "Where are the visuals?"

It all came to a head when Beyoncé herself said, during one of her concerts on the Renaissance World Tour in 2023, that the fans themselves are the visuals. And it looks like she's sticking to her guns...

In a recent cover story/interview with GQ, the "Heated" singer finally opened up about her reasoning on why there are still no visuals for Renaissance or Cowboy Carter.

"I thought it was important that during a time where all we see is visuals, that the world can focus on the voice," Queen Bey told the magazine. "The music is so rich in history and instrumentation. It takes months to digest, research, and understand."

"The music needed space to breathe on its own. Sometimes a visual can be a distraction from the quality of the voice and the music,” she added. "The years of hard work and detail put into an album that takes over four years! The music is enough. The fans from all over the world became the visual. We all got the visual on tour. We then got more visuals from my film."

We will just have to sit here and imagine what a "Virgo's Groove" music video could look like. Or, play the album in your house, dance in the video, and make the best if your imagination babies.

And remember, you ARE the visual!
