11 artists who delivered ICONIC covers of Chappell Roan songs
A true Femininomenon!
Ethan Miller/Getty Images; Jim Dyson/Getty Images; Mike Coppola/Getty Images for MTVChappell Roan is, without a doubt, one of the biggest and best artists of 2024.
From making incredible bops, defending, supporting, and working with drag artists on a national and local level, speaking truth to power about issues like Palestine, and being a total fashion icon… Roan can do everything!
As such, it makes total sense that other artists would want to cover her songs — delivering incredible new renditions of bops we already love.
Scroll through
Sabrina Carpenter — "Good Luck, Babe!"
Sabrina Carpenter might be Chappell Roan's biggest competition in the 2025 Grammy Awards for Best New Artist, but the two respect each other a lot. Carpenter did this terrific cover of "Good Luck, Babe!" for BBC's Live Lounge.
Amaarae — "Hot to Go!"
Ghanaian-American singer-songwriter Amaarae is having a great time opening for Sabrina Carpenter on her current Short n' Sweet Tour, and even performed this great Chappell Roan bop, "Hot to Go!"
Kelly Clarkson - "Coffee"
Kelly Clarkson is one of the best vocalists of her generation — and when she covers a song, she does it with her whole chest!
With this cover of "Coffee," performed at The Kelly Clarkson Show, she once again proved why she's such a top-tier singer.
Orville Peck — "Pink Pony Club"
Speaking of queer artists who love adopting personas and inserting some theatricality into their acts…
Country singer Orville Peck did this cover of Chappell Roan's anthem "Pink Pony Club" live on stage, bringing a country twang to the song that we absolutely appreciate.
Miranda Lambert & Kelly Clarkson — "Good Luck, Babe!"
But Clarkson didn't stop covering Chappell with "Coffee"… oh no!
During a different episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show featuring Miranda Lambert, the two music icons talked about how much they love Roan. After spending a few minutes complimenting her, Lambert and Clarkson delivered a legendary duet of "Good Luck, Babe!" and gave us some truly beautiful harmonies.
Melissa Etheridge — "Red Wine Supernova"
One of the all-time icons of lesbian music, Melissa Etheridge, acknowledged her love for Chappell at a recent show. Can you IMAGINE?!
To make things even more exciting, Etheridge mixed in a bit of "Red Wine Supernova" with her own lesbian hit, "I Wanna Come Over." We are so shook!
The Cast of Hamilton — "Good Luck, Babe!"
The "Good Luck, Babe!" hive is huge, and that's what such a bop deserves!
The British cast of Hamilton went into the Triple J studio to perform this cover, which featured the three actors who play The Schuyler Sisters singing this incredible Roan track in a beautiful new arrangement.
JXDN — "Hot to Go!"
Pop-punk singer JXDN did a cover of "Hot to Go!" for the MTV Live: VMA Countdown special and brought us all back to the Hurley Stage at Warped Tour in 2008. Ah, what a time!
Alex Warren — "Pink Pony Club"
YouTuber and social media star Alex Warren also covered "Pink Pony Club" for SiriusXM this summer, and we loved to hear it!
CXLOE — "Good Luck, Babe!"
"Good Luck, Babe!" is clearly Chappell Roan's most popular song when it comes to other singers wanting to put their own twist on the track and delivering a fun cover. On Like a Version, Australian singer-songwriter CXLOE took her turn.
Kacey Musgraves — "Pink Pony Club"
Kacey Musgraves already recognizes that Chappell Roan is an icon, prompting this cover of "Pink Pony Club" performed at the Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre that transitioned into Musgraves' own song "High Horse."
